Spanish police arrest 3, dismantle suspected neo-Nazi terror cell

Spain's National Police on Monday announced the arrest of three suspected members of a neo-Nazi terrorist cell linked to "The Base," a white-supremacist group designated as a terrorist organization in the European Union (EU) and several other countries.



The suspects were detained on Nov. 25 during coordinated raids in the eastern province of Castellon. According to police, officers seized firearms, bladed weapons, military-style equipment and extremist propaganda during the operation.



The detainees are accused of belonging to a terrorist organization, illegal possession of weapons, and attempting to recruit and indoctrinate others. Investigators described them as "highly radicalized" and aligned with accelerationist ideology encouraging violent attacks.



Police said the group used social media to praise other terrorist organizations, distribute violent content and seek new members. The alleged leader of the cell had also maintained contact with Rinaldo Nazzaro, founder of "The Base."



This is the first accelerationist terrorist cell dismantled in Spain, according to authorities.
