Major fire engulfs oil depot off India's Mumbai coast

A major fire that broke out Friday evening at an oil depot on an island off the coast of India's financial capital Mumbai is still raging Saturday. A senior police official said, "The blaze started late Friday evening on Butcher Island, but it has not been contained yet. Firefighting operations are still on." He said, however, there have been no reports of any casualty so far. The senior police official said, "All those in the depot have been evacuated." The depot on Butcher Island is used by Indian port authorities to offload crude oil from tankers and store it. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. tThe official added, "A probe has been ordered into the incident."
