A four-member family from the United States was found dead on Friday at a condominium apartment in the beach resort of Tulum, in the Mexican Caribbean. Police acted following the U.S. embassy's report that the family was missing. Relatives of the family contacted local authorities in the county of Creston, in the U.S. Midwestern state of Iowa, after they lost touch with the family on vacation on March 14-21. Authorities said there were no signs of violence and the victims, a couple and their two children, showed no visible injuries, though the corpses were already decomposing.
