Jordan-EU summit urges Gaza aid, two-state solution
Jordan and the European Union (EU) issued a joint statement on Thursday following the first Jordan-EU Summit held here at Al Husseiniya Palace, in which they urged scaled-up humanitarian access to Gaza and reiterated support for the two-state solution.
According to the joint statement, both sides urged all parties to implement the UN Security Council Resolution 2803 and facilitate rapid, safe and unhindered aid delivery throughout Gaza.
They also called on Israel to release withheld Palestinian clearance revenues to ensure the functioning of the Palestinian Authority, read the statement.
They expressed "grave concern" over the situation in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and strongly condemned settlement expansion, annexation attempts, and violence against civilians.
