8 Arab, Islamic countries condemn Israeli violations in Jerusalem, West Bank
Eight Arab and Islamic countries on Thursday condemned Israel's repeated violations of the historical and legal status quo of Jerusalem, rejecting any attempts to alter it.
In a joint statement, the foreign ministers of Egypt, Jordan, the UAE, Indonesia, Pakistan, T羹rkiye, Saudi Arabia and Qatar denounced Israeli continuous incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, including the raising of the Israeli flag inside it.
They also condemned illegal settlement activities, citing Israeli approval of more than 30 new settlements in the occupied West Bank. They denounced settler violence against Palestinians, including recent attacks on schools and children.
Stressing that "Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories," the ministers reaffirmed their "absolute rejection of any attempts to annex them or to displace the Palestinian people."
They called on the international community to compel Israel to halt its escalation and illegal practices.
