Countries need clarity on war before tapping oil reserves

France's Finance Minister Roland Lescure said that governments cannot decide on further oil reserve releases to ease disruption from the Iran war until the likely duration of the conflict is clearer, according to his interview to the Financial times published on Friday. Lescure told the FT a second coordinated release of strategic oil reserves was not discussed at the G7 finance ministers' meeting in Paris this week.
