Egypt, Pakistan FMs discuss regional developments, bilateral ties
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Friday discussed the latest regional developments, efforts to de-escalate tensions and restore calm, and regional security arrangements.
During a phone call, the two ministers exchanged views on ways to enhance security and defense cooperation in a manner that serves their common interests and strengthens bilateral ties, according to a statement from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.
They affirmed their commitment to maintaining close consultation and coordination to support efforts to promote regional stability and security.
The two top diplomats also stressed their commitment to further expanding bilateral cooperation in political, economic, trade and investment fields, and agreed to explore new avenues for partnership to broaden cooperation and serve the common interests of the two countries and their peoples.
