China April exports rise 14.1% y/y, imports up 25.3
China's export growth quickened in April, expanding 14.1% from a year earlier in U.S. dollar value terms, while imports rose 25.3%, customs data showed on Saturday. Outbound shipments had been expected to rise 7.9%, according to a Reuters poll of economists, compared with a 2.5% gain in March. Imports were forecast to have grown 15.2%, against a 27.8% increase previously.
