Erdogan says Turkiye has no food security problem amid regional tensions

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Tuesday that Turkiye does not have a problem with agricultural production and food supply security amid regional conflicts.

Speaking at a World Farmers' Day event in the capital Ankara, Erdogan said the country has remained vigilant to ensure that "the conflict deeply affecting Iran" and Gulf countries does not impact Turkiye's agricultural production.

"We had already secured fertilizer and fertilizer raw material supplies. Our fertilizer stocks are at sufficient levels," he said.

He added that Turkiye currently faces no food security issues thanks to the government's agricultural planning and support policies.
