Senior DPRK official says unaware of communication between leaders of DPRK, U.S.
Kim Yo Jong, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, said she was unaware of the reported recent communication between the leaders of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the United States, the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on Wednesday.
Kim also said that the U.S. hostile policy towards her country has not changed as the United States and its followers have been violently conducting hostile military activities against the DPRK, the KCNA said in its report.
Even though the leaders of the two countries have maintained an "excellent" relationship, it is "reasonable, appropriate and essential" for the DPRK to take actions within its sovereign rights to deter hostile forces from threatening its security, she stressed.
