5 killed, 7 wounded in Israeli strikes on S. Lebanon
Five people were killed and at least seven others wounded on Monday in Israeli strikes across southern Lebanon, authorities said, as cross-border hostilities continued between Israel and Hezbollah.
Lebanon's Public Health Emergency Operations Center said an Israeli drone strike on the town of Haris in the Bint Jbeil district killed two people, and one person was killed in an Israeli airstrike in the Hamadiyeh area in the Tyre district.
Another person was killed, and three others were wounded in an airstrike on the town of Berghoz. Israeli forces targeted paramedic teams in the town of Siddiqine in the Tyre district, while they were carrying out rescue operations following a previous airstrike, killing one paramedic and wounding four others.
Meanwhile, Lebanon's Disaster Risk Management Unit said in its daily report that the cumulative death toll is 1,497 and the number of wounded is 4,639 since the start of the ongoing hostilities on March 2.
