Police in the Australian state of Queensland have charged two teenagers over an attack with a fire extinguisher that injured an infant.
The Queensland Police Service (QPS) said on Saturday that two boys aged 15 and 14 have been arrested and charged following an extensive investigation into the attack.
A QPS statement said that it will be alleged in court that the two teenagers were riding an ebike on a street in Sippy Downs, 80 km north of Brisbane, on June 15 when they discharged a fire extinguisher into the open rear window of a stationary car.
The two occupants of the car, a 29-year-old man and five-month-old child, sustained minor injuries and were both hospitalized for treatment.
It will be further alleged that the fire extinguisher was stolen from a nearby car.
