Kai Tak Sports Park implements multiple carbon reduction measures

The Kai Tak Sports Park stated that it has implemented numerous carbon reduction measures throughout its design, construction, and operations, actively promoting a "plastic-free" culture.



Large waste sorting and recycling bins are located inside and outside the sports park and are readily available during major events. Biodegradable paper cups used on site are then converted into nutrients for flower gardens, reducing the additional resources and carbon emissions associated with waste disposal, transportation, and container cleaning.



The Kai Tak Sports Park stated that it has introduced a large-scale waste decomposition system to convert waste into compost for plant cultivation, and is committed to promoting sustainable community development. The sports park serves as a key demonstration platform for Hong Kong's "green economy," fostering the parallel development of sports, entertainment, and environmental protection, creating a low-carbon, environmentally friendly, world-class event venue.
