Kowloon East Region arrested a drug offender in an early morning operation

The Traffic Task Force of Kowloon East Region conducted a traffic enforcement operation in the region from late last night (the 5th) to the early morning of today (the 6th). At approximately 3:30 a.m. today, officers patrolling Choi Hung Road spotted a private car driver acting suspiciously. After approaching and checking, they seized approximately 38 grams of suspected crack cocaine and approximately 126 cigarette cartridges containing suspected etomidate from the vehicle, with a total market value of approximately $80,000.



After preliminary investigation, the 34-year-old driver, identified as Lin Nei, was arrested on suspicion of trafficking in dangerous drugs, driving a vehicle without third-party insurance, and driving without a valid driver's license. He is currently being detained for investigation, and the case has been assigned to the Wong Tai Sin District Criminal Investigation Team 4 for follow-up.
