Six members of the same family were killed in a road accident in Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Tuesday, police said.
The accident took place in Abbottabad district, where a speeding trailer collided with a car from behind, pushing it into another trailer ahead, the motorway police said in a statement.
All passengers in the car, including four men and two women, died on the spot, and the rescue teams shifted the bodies to a nearby hospital, the statement added.
The police attributed the collision to the negligence of the trailer driver and urged heavy vehicle operators to exercise caution to avoid similar tragedies on the busy route.
Road accidents in Pakistan have become an alarming issue, with a significant increase in both frequency and severity over the years.
