After Pummeling Hong Kong, typhoon Ragasa drifted away from Macao on Wednesday afternoon.
The bureau lowered the storm surge warning to blue and issued the No. 8 tropical cyclone signal, replacing No. 10.
Storm surges reportedly caused flooding in several parts of the city, with water levels in the Inner Harbor area exceeding 1.5 meters at one point.
As winds and rain eased, floodwaters began to recede in some districts.
According to information from the SAR government, the Municipal Affairs Bureau received reports of damage and fallen trees and dispatched workers to clear those blocking major roads as a priority.
By 4 p.m. local time, the Civil Protection Operations Center had recorded 192 incident reports in Macao, with four people injured.
According to the Social Welfare Bureau, 678 people had taken shelter at evacuation centers.
