Mongolia flies 257 nationals back from Japan amid COVID-19 pandemic

        Mongolia's State Emergency Commission (SEC) says, Mongolia brought back 257 nationals from Japan on a chartered flight Friday.
        
        The SEC says, the special flight from Tokyo to Ulan Bator, which landed at the Buyant-Ukhaa International Airport on Friday night, carried pregnant women, seniors, children, students, disabled and sick people, and those with financial and other problems, adding that they will be isolated at designated facilities for 21 days.
        
        According to the commission, following its suspension of international commercial flights due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Mongolia has brought home more than 16,000 nationals by chartered flights, buses or trains from different parts of the world so far.
