“‘You Stole the Show’ explores the idea of performance — not just as an artist, but also as a person and the various ways we ‘perform’ in our own lives,” says SIENNA. “The song was inspired by a moment I had during my last tour when I realized that so many of my songs are about a person who isn’t part of my life anymore. During each show, I would try to imagine being back in the moment I wrote the songs about — to sing them with the most conviction and emotion. In
doing that, I became overwhelmed by the very thought of him being in the audience each night and I would fantasize
about what I hoped or imagined would happen if he actually was.”
