Old desks are empty, books we’ll never read, Still feel the summer, and the sweat we used to bleed. Laughter and tears, they stained the hallway floor, All that we built, we leave it at the door.
On that wooden bench, where we used to play, Watching every memory, start to fade away.
I don’t wanna leave this place, but the wind is calling out my name, Moving to the Great Unknown, but I know I’ll never be the same. Through the tears that start to fall, I’ll remember every smiling face, Deep inside my heavy heart, this place will keep its sacred space.
Bittersweet growth, thanks for who I’ve become, Lessons I’ve learned, under this school sun. Walking through the gates, with strength in my hand, Beautiful soul, in this golden land.
Spread your wings now, touch the endless sky, Keep the fire bright, as the years go by.
I don’t wanna leave this place, but the wind is calling out my name, Moving to the Great Unknown, but I know I’ll never be the same. Through the tears that start to fall, I’ll remember every smiling face, Deep inside my heavy heart, this place will keep its sacred space.
One last look back, at this place we leave behind, The most precious life, that I could ever find. Go and shine, go and fly, we’ll meet again someday, I’ll keep the promise, as we walk away.
