After months of teasing with her recent singles “KGB” and “Red Bottoms,” ADÉLA
announces her debut album PRIMA set for release on September 4th. Highly anticipated announcement arrives alongside her new single “Ain’t In LA” and a Fred Gervais-directed music video shot in her hometown of Bratislava.
Powered by booming 808s, glitchy drums, chopped and screwed vocals, and glossy verses, “Ain’t In LA” sees ADÉLA reflect on what has already been a whirlwind journey with gratitude for all the opportunities that have come her way since leaving Slovakia in pursuit of pop stardom. Inspiration struck after a visit back home, where she came across photos of her mother at 18 years old posing in front of a wall plastered with pop culture imagery. “My grandfather smuggled the posters in from Germany,” she shares, “It made me think, ‘There are so many beautiful girls with dreams who will never get their flowers like my mom’. I wrote this for her and the billion other bitches who are probably cooler than me.”
