A total of 25 new dengue fever cases were reported in Pakistan's capital Islamabad over the past 24 hours, local health officials said on Monday.
According to the District Health Office (DHO), 13 of the new infections were recorded in rural areas, while 12 were reported from urban sectors, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the capital to 460 during this year.
At least 21 patients are receiving treatment at various hospitals across the city.
Health authorities said all response measures are being conducted in line with World Health Organization (WHO) protocols, including targeted fogging, surveillance, and larva elimination in affected areas.
The DHO urged residents to take preventive steps such as regularly cleaning water containers, tanks, and coolers to reduce mosquito breeding.
