Baghdad's landmark lights up with Chinese flag to celebrate China's National Day

        The Baghdad Mall, a landmark in the Iraqi capital, was lit up on Sunday evening in the colors of the Chinese flag to celebrate the National Day of the People's Republic of China (PRC).
        The images of the Chinese national flag were shown on the facade of the building, and congratulations in both Arabic and Chinese languages were also on display.
        The initiative came from the Iraqi-Chinese Friendship Association on the occasion of the 74th anniversary of the founding of the PRC, as a token of the deep relationship between the Iraqi and Chinese peoples.
        Haider al-Rubaie, head of the Iraqi-Chinese Friendship Association, said "We send Chinese friends a message of congratulations," while wishing the Chinese people progress, prosperity, and success.
