Israeli settlers burn house, 2 vehicles in West Bank

12/4/2024 5:58
Israeli settlers burned a house and two vehicles in separate incidents in the West Bank, Palestinian sources said Thursday.
A house and a vehicle in the town of al-Lubban al-Sharqiya, south of Nablus, were set on fire by infiltrated Israeli settlers, local sources told Xinhua.
The sources added that the residents came out to confront the settlers' attack, resulting in a Palestinian being injured with fractures in the hand.
Israeli settlers also burned a vehicle in the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, before residents confronted them and forced them to leave the scene, said local sources and eyewitnesses.
Videos circulating on social media platform Facebook showed the burning of the house and vehicles in Nablus and Ramallah.
So far, the Israeli army has not commented on the incidents.
The West Bank has witnessed incidents of vehicle burning, mosque burning, agricultural rights violations, house burning, and the writing of "racist" slogans on its walls, with Palestinians accusing Israeli settlers of being behind some of them.
More than 700,000 Israeli settlers live in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, according to official Palestinian figures.
Israel occupied the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which are claimed by the Palestinians, in the 1967 Middle East war and has controlled them ever since.
