Hong Kong Police arrest mother of 14-year-old boy suspected of abuse

        Police arrested the mother of a 14-year-old boy suspected of being abused.
        
        At 12:00 p.m., police received a report from a Queen Elizabeth Hospital staff member that a 14-year-old boy had suffered a head injury and was suspected to have been treated inappropriately. Police initially investigated and believe the boy's 52-year-old mother was suspected of assaulting the boy with a plastic bottle due to discipline issues.
        
        The boy's mother was arrested on suspicion of child abuse and is being held for investigation.
