A wounding case occurred on Canton Road in Tsim Sha Tsui. A woman attacked passers-by with scissors and her feet. She was arrested on suspicion of wounding, attempted wounding and common assault. Two female passers-by were injured.
At about 2pm yesterday, the woman involved in the case was shouting and yelling in a shopping mall on Canton Road, and had an argument with a cleaner. During the argument, the woman took out a pair of scissors about 12 cm long from her eco-friendly bag and waved them. The cleaner left the scene immediately without any injuries. The woman then left the mall and walked along Canton Road towards Haiphong Road. Suddenly, she kicked a female passerby in the abdomen. The two then had an argument. When a security guard from a nearby shopping mall tried to stop them, the woman involved attempted to attack the security guard with scissors but failed. The woman then crossed the road and kicked another female passerby in the thigh. The attacked female passerby tried to stop the woman, but was stabbed in the hand and mouth by the other party with scissors. The two attacked female passersby were sent to Kwong Wah Hospital for treatment and have been discharged.
The police arrived at the scene, subdued and arrested the woman who attacked, and found the weapon she was holding. She was emotionally unstable when she was arrested, and had no identification documents on her. She claimed that her foot was injured and needed to be sent to the hospital for treatment. After preliminary investigation by the police, it is believed that the arrested woman committed the crime alone, and there is no sign that she was organized or had any premeditated plan.
