27/6/2025 6:27
The Hong Kong Palace Museum signed a cooperation agreement with the Supreme Council of Antiquities of Egypt on Thursday in Hong Kong, under which the two parties will co-host an exhibition titled "Ancient Egypt Unveiled: Treasures from Egyptian Museums" at the Hong Kong Palace Museum in November.

The exhibition will be held from Nov. 20, 2025, to Aug. 31, 2026, showcasing 250 artifacts from seven major Egyptian museums. The collection will include statues of pharaohs and deities, reliefs, stelae, gold ornaments, large sets of mummy coffins, and animal mummies.

The exhibits span a timeline of approximately 7,300 to 2,000 years ago. All of the artifacts will be displayed in Hong Kong for the first time, with many making their debut appearance outside Egypt.

In addition, the Hong Kong Palace Museum will curate a selection of ancient Chinese artifacts to engage in dialogue and exchange with the Egyptian exhibits, highlighting the development and distinctive features of two of the world's greatest ancient civilizations.
