Police Anti-Triad Operation Arrests 65, Freezes $1 Million in Criminal Proceeds

The Organized Crime and Triad Bureau conducted an eight-day operation across Hong Kong (August 8-15), raiding several suspected illegal venues and crime hotspots, resulting in 65 arrests.
During the operation, police busted a suspected drug manufacturing laboratory and six suspected gambling venues, arresting 48 local men, 11 local women, five non-Chinese men, and one non-Chinese woman, aged between 17 and 66.
The arrested individuals were suspected of burglary, trafficking in dangerous drugs, manufacturing dangerous drugs, unauthorized use of a conveyance, unlawful assembly, assisting illegal immigration, accepting bookies, and operating an illegal gambling venue.
During the operation, police seized approximately four kilograms of suspected cocaine, a batch of suspected drug manufacturing and gambling tools, and chips with a face value of NT$330,000. Approximately NT$1 million in criminal proceeds have been frozen.
All arrested men and women are currently being detained for investigation.
