Yemen's Houthis claim missile attack at C. Israel

Yemen's Houthi group on Wednesday claimed launching a "hypersonic ballistic missile" attack targeting central Israel's Ben Gurion Airport in the morning.



The attack was "successful," disrupting air traffic and forcing thousands of Israelis into shelters, Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea said in a statement aired by Houthi-run al-Masirah TV.



Earlier in the day, the Israeli military said in a statement that air raid sirens sounded in Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank after a ballistic missile was launched from Yemen.



Air defense systems were activated and intercepted the missile, the military said.
