Magnitude 6.0 earthquake strikes off north Indonesia: USGS
A 6.0 magnitude quake struck off Indonesia's remote northern Talaud islands on Saturday, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said, with no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
The tremor struck at a depth of 99km, some 90km southeast of Sarangani province on the Philippine island of Mindanao.
A provincial disaster official, reported the quake was only "slightly felt" and there were no reports of damage or injuries.
Earthquakes are a near-daily occurrence in the Philippines, which with Indonesia and other neighbours is situated on the Pacific "Ring of Fire", an arc of intense seismic activity stretching from Japan through Southeast Asia and across the Pacific basin.
Meawhile, An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 jolted Northern Territory, Australia at 1826 GMT on Saturday.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 25.93 degrees south latitude and 130.62 degrees east longitude.
Taiwan was hit with a magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck near Hualien City on Sunday, U.S. Geological Survey
said.
The quake was at a depth of 22.1 km.
