Cuba denounces electromagnetic interference allegedly caused by U.S.

30/11/2025 7:28
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez warned Saturday of "persistent electromagnetic interference" allegedly caused by the United States in the Caribbean region, which he said is particularly affecting Venezuela's airspace.

The interference is the result of the "offensive and extraordinary U.S. military deployment in the region," Rodriguez said in a post on X.

"It is part of an escalation of military aggression and psychological warfare against Venezuelan territory," he said.

The accusation came just hours after U.S. President Donald Trump announced that airspace above and surrounding Venezuela should be considered closed "in its entirety."

According to Rodriguez, these tactics aim to "forcibly overthrow the legitimate government" of Venezuela, endangering stability across the Caribbean.

The denunciation comes amid a growing U.S. military presence in the Caribbean Sea, which has raised concern among several regional governments over potential risks to peace and stability.
