Philippines' Marcos asks cabinet secretaries to resign

Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr has requested all cabinet secretaries to submit their resignations, a move his office described on Thursday as a "bold reset" to give him room to evaluate the performance of each department. "This is not about personalities — it's about performance, alignment, and urgency," Marcos said in a statement issued by the Presidential Communications Office. "Those who have delivered and continue to deliver will be recognised. But we cannot afford to be complacent. The time for comfort zones is over."
