6 children injured as bus turns over in S. Korea

Six children were injured on Wednesday as a bus turned over after hitting tunnel walls, according to Yonhap news agency.

The soccer club bus carrying 18 elementary school students and a driver turned over on its side at about 9:20 a.m. local time (0020 GMT) after sliding and crashing into the left and the right walls of the tunnel in Gyeonggi province, surrounding the capital Seoul.

Six children were taken to a hospital, including two seriously injured and four with minor injuries. The injured suffered non-life-threatening injuries as the children were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.

Part of the road surface at the site was wet from the rain earlier in the day. The police were investigating the exact cause of the accident.
