Yau Tsim District Police Crack Down on Illegal Activities

On Friday (22nd), Yau Tsim District Police launched a crackdown on illegal liquor sales and other activities in the Yau Tsim District, arresting three restaurant managers on suspicion of "selling alcoholic beverages without a license" and "possessing alcoholic beverages for the purpose of sale without a license." Beer, spirits, and cash were also seized during the operation.
Police emphasized that under Hong Kong law, selling liquor without a license is a serious offense, punishable by a fine of up to HK$1 million and two years' imprisonment upon conviction. Drinking alcohol in unlicensed premises is also illegal and carries a maximum fine of HK$2,000 upon conviction.
