Police Crack Down on Illegal Vehicles in Chai Wan

Police cracked down on illegal vehicles on Hong Kong Island, arresting two male drivers and seizing the private cars involved.
Police officers disguised as passengers in Chai Wan intercepted two private cars suspected of illegally transporting passengers for pay. Two men, aged 49 and 61, were arrested on suspicion of using their vehicles for illegal hire or reward, as well as for operating the vehicles without third-party insurance.
Police stated that as of Sunday, 88 enforcement operations had been conducted against illegal vehicles, eight of which were suspected to be related to illegal employment.
